GRAVESEND PILED BASEMENT

MJ Rooney constructed this basement in Wrotham with an incredible basement swimming pool below the gardens of this historic country mansion. This enormous swimming pool with saunas and spa rooms is linked to the house via an underground corridor to make it feel like an integral part of the house despite being in the garden. This Kingpost earthworks support basement involved one of the most spectacular concrete formwork solutions in our history to enable 7 m high walls to be poured in a single pour.
